David Larkin, Esq.
David Larkin is a senior executive and attorney with over 23 years of experience in real estate and business law. Prior to joining CADRExperts, Dave was the National Director of Community Association and the Vice President/General Counsel for Ancillary Businesses for Toll Brothers, Inc. Dave also created and served as President of Whitehall Management Services, Toll Brothers’ wholly-owned community association management company.
In his capacity as the National Director of Community Services, Dave oversaw several hundred community associations in 21 states. Dave directed the creation of association documentation, established and enforced policies for Toll Brothers’ community association activities, selected and managed 3rd party management companies and successfully negotiated countless transitions.
In his role as Vice President/General Counsel, Dave provided a wide range of legal and practical advice in the mortgage, title, marketing, association, golf and country club, intellectual property, crisis communication and licensing arenas. At Toll Brothers, Dave managed litigation from both a plaintiff and defendant perspective. Dave was also responsible for regulatory, compliance and crisis management activities, counseling senior management on dynamic regulatory and compliance issues.
Prior to joining Toll Brothers, Dave served as the initial General Counsel for the Quaker Group, a diversified real estate enterprise, providing acquisition, residential and commercial development and construction, lending and property management services. At Quaker, Dave created legal, corporate and contractual protocols, assisting in the growth of Quaker into one of the Delaware Valley’s premier real estate companies. Among his varied responsibilities, Dave served as the first General Counsel for the Camden RiverSharks, an independent minor league baseball operation.
Dave earned his JD at Rutgers School of Law - Camden, and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Lafayette College and The London School of Economics and Political Science. Dave is active in his community, having served on the board of directors of the New Jersey Community Association Institute and the National Research Foundation for Community Associations. Dave currently sits on the Research Committee for the Research Foundation. Having co-authored the Research Foundation’s Best Practice Report on Transition, Dave is presently revising and editing the Transition Report. Dave is a frequent lecturer at CAI events and the International Builder’s Show. He has served as faculty for the Lorman Institute and as a guest lecturer at Villanova Law School, lecturing on condominium law and practice. Dave also leads his town’s girls youth basketball program and actively coaches his three children in soccer, basketball and baseball/softball.
